Woodland Hills, Sharp County is a Lake Community in the historic village of Hardy, Arkansas USA. Hardy is located at the junction of Highway 62 and Highway 412 in north central Arkansas, just fifteen miles from one of the world's largest natural springs at the Missouri border and 140 miles from Memphis, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a fresh air Ozark Mountain retreat with two private spring-fed lakes right in the community and twelve other lakes, two rivers, and two 18 hole golf courses nearby. Both Sherwood Lake at 260 acres and Rainbow Lake at 60 acres have prime fishing as well as water sports, swimming, and lazy afternoons.  It's close enough to the Gulf of Mexico to enjoy warm winters (golf, fish, boat all year) but far enough that there are no hurricanes!

 

Some maps show a nearby "Woodland Hills" in Fulton County, but that location is not part of the delightful lake community in Hardy, Sharp County that we are promoting. For great value and spring fed lakes, be sure to buy only genuine SunSpring land in Woodland Hills, Sharp County Arkansas.

 

The Spring River, which flows through the village of Hardy is created by nearby Mammoth Spring, one of the world's largest natural springs. Mammoth provides a continuous flow of cool trout loving clear waters and year 'round canoeing. (With a few small waterfalls just to spice up your adventure!) In addition to rainbow trout, Spring River hosts walleye and small mouth bass. Canoe rentals are available. South Fork, a tributary of Spring River, flows through 13,000 acre Cherokee Village. Strawberry River, a nearby spring-fed stream is great for floating and rafting.

 

Every Woodland Hills lot we own is within easy walking distance of Lake Sherwood or Rainbow Lake - both fully stocked. Lake Sherwood is about 1 1/2 miles long by 1/4 mile wide, and 60 feet deep. Rainbow Lake is about 800 feet wide and 1600 feet long.
